Current Volunteer Opportunities
PMI-OC is run by volunteers. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities that need to be filled posted throughout the year. Please make sure to visit this page often. There may be something that will allow you to benefit by volunteering for the Chapter. Milestones Contributors
Write 300 or 500 to 1,000 word reviews of attended chapter events for the Milestones chapter newsletter. Clear and concise writing styles are required.

Milestones Photographers
Need talented and creative individuals with an eye for style to take photos of chapter events for Milestones. Have a digital camera and a flash unit to take photos of chapter events in indoor and outdoor venues. Need to be able to send photos electronically or by photo CD to Milestones editors and graphic designer.

Dinner Meeting Support - Name Badges
The PMI-OC Events team is looking for a creative and reliable individual to create and print attendee name badges for various PMI-OC events. Time commitment required is up to 4 hours per month. Start immediately.

Finance
|
Finance Volunteers - Events Registration
The Finance Team is looking for assistance from individuals who will be able to attend the Monthly Chapter Dinner meetings and assist with attendee check-ins. Duties may include money handling, headcount tracking and follow up reporting.

External Marketing
|
Advertising and Sponsorship Volunteers and Committee Chair Volunteers on the Advertising and Sponsorship committee will help to define and manage sponsorship options (e.g. Milestones advertising, web advertising, or corporate sponsorships). They will solicit, obtain, and organize sponsors for PMI-OC events and initiatives as needed, solicit corporate and other paid advertisements for the PMI-OC newsletter and website, and solicit sponsors for PMI-OC meetings, educational programs and special events. The Committee Chair reports to the Director of External Marketing and Collaboration. Other committee volunteers report to the committee chair.

Affiliate Management Chair
The Chair of the Affiliate Management Committee will assist in drawing up an affiliate agreement between PMI-OC and other OrangeCounty organizations. The Chair will manage affiliate relationships and communicate the stipulations of each agreement with other committees (Milestones, web site, programs, etc.) as needed.

Duputy Assist with administrative duties such as schedule meetings, prepare agenda/minutes, maintain calendar, maintain IM folders in qtask, handle inventory and service requests. May include event attendance and projects.

Business Process Management Analyst 1
Document and publish Chapter Operations Manual to support new organization structure
Responsibilities:
Interview process owners at various functions e.g. finance, marketing, program, IT to fully understand business processes, procedures and policies
Document processes, develop forms, templates and process maps if necessary.
Time commitment - 4 hours per week.
End deliverable - PMI-OC Operations Manual
80-90% work remotely; occasionally participate PMI-OC on-site meeting
Qualifications:
Familiar with process documentation and process mapping
Consulting and/or operations background is preferable

Business Process Management Analyst 2
Define, document and publish job roles and org chart
Responsibilities:
Interview process owners at various functions e.g. finance, marketing, program, IT to fully understand business needs
Ensure all tier 2 and tier 3 job roles, titles and job descriptions are fully documented. Update org chart down to tier 3
Volunteer work, but effort will be highly recognized by PMI Orange County Chapter.
Time commitment - 4 hours per week,
End deliverable - completed org chart with detailed job roles/descriptions
80-90% work remotely; occasionally participate PMI-OC on-site meetings.
Qualifications:
Familiar with people and organization design
Consulting and/or operations background is preferable

| Administration |
Knowledge Management Analyst
Responsibilities:
Define repository structure, storage format, naming conventions, version control, change management and approval process
Collaborate with IT and Communications to develop access control, user management and back up processes, policies and procedures
Provide on-going knowledge management support
Volunteer work, but effort will be highly recognized by PMI Orange County Chapter.
Time commitment - 4 hours per week, through August 2010, then 2 hours per week.
End deliverable - knowledge management documentation, change management and approval process, processes, policies and procedures for access control, user management and knowledge repository back up
80-90% work remotely; occasionally participate PMI-OC on-site meetings.
Qualifications:
Familiar with knowledge management
IT operations and/or IT audit background is highly desirable.
