About the PMI-OC Chapter

PMI-OC Vision Statement

We are recognized as the volunteer organization of innovative project management professionals. We provide value to our stakeholders and the community at large. We promote the development of project management as a benefit in all industries.

Members

We deliver high quality offerings to our members, with a focus on professional development & networking opportunities.  We are a mature PMI chapter and non-profit professional association.

Members receive increased & differentiated value for their PMI-OC membership - tangible and intangible benefits are quantified.  Our brand is strengthened in OC.  We offer PMI-OC member discounts to events and other member-only benefits - e.g., refer to Events section.

Strong Community

We are more connected with our members, and they are more connected with us.  We are able to better support & respond to our decentralized and changing environment. Our current culture is embodied throughout our membership and chapter.

PMI-OC Mission Statement

"We promote project management by providing services, tools and knowledge to project sponsors, project managers, team members and the community. We provide a forum for networking and opportunities for social interaction.

Two Strategic Objectives to Achieve Our 2009 Vision

2.       Operational Effectiveness. Franchise key business processes, develop/empower operational leaders, enable internal collaboration, and enable strategic and operational balance.

Three Strategic Initiatives to Accomplish Our Vision and Strategic Objectives

  1. Enable Operational Leadership. Create an operational environment that is consistent, efficient, supports leadership succession, and focuses on processes and documentation.

  2. Redesign Governance Model. Change our organization structure and governing processes to empower operational areas while enabling strategic focus.

  3. Recommend a Platform for Virtual Collaboration. Analyze opportunities to provide remote offerings and enable online collaboration to increase member value and operational efficiencies.
