This position will be in the Power Delivery (PWRD) Staff Support division within Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Transmission and Distribution Business Unit (TDBU). The successful candidate will provide high level analytical support to the Power Delivery, Chief of Staff and project manager(s).
 
Typical responsibilities will include:

•    Gathering, processing, and synthesizing complex information to review existing processes, identify critical issues and their underlying causes, and generate recommended solutions and improvements.
•    Conducting analysis and research of new technologies and recommending appropriate alternatives in support of PWRD Staff’s strategic or operational direction.
•    Conducting research and gathering information to identify integration points and interfaces between the PWRD operational plan and the roadmaps for various PWRD initiatives.
•    Developing tools and processes to support the client’s needs and obtain buy-in from key stakeholders.
•    Developing project plans, schedules, and updates, and generating reports on project status, including monitoring and tracking progress and performance against the plan to actual on projects or defined operational assignments. 
•    Preparing cost benefit and trend analysis for assigned programs/projects.
•    Leading sub-project teams or acting as project lead when required.
•    Making presentations to project managers, Senior Management, and other staff on assigned reports.
•    Supporting PWRD’s operational and strategic initiatives and responsible for tools to support management reports including refining data base, developing queries, creating charts, reports, and graphs.
•    Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
•    Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
 
Basic Qualification:

•    Must have at least 3 years of experience as an analyst and/or working in a project support role using software tools.

Job Requirements:

•    Bachelor Degree in Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
•    Typically possesses five or more years of experience in the field of analysis.
•    Demonstrated experience using software tools, such as Microsoft Excel and/or Access, to create and edit complex reports, tables, and graphs, convert information from one format to another, use advanced functions, and generate non-standard reports from business applications/ databases.
•    Demonstrated experience supporting functions for identifying and implementing integration and improvement solutions for organizational processes, strategies, and performance.

This position will be in the Central Design and Field Accounting Resource Planning and Performance Management (CD&FA RPPM) Department within Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Transmission & Distribution Business Unit (TDBU). The successful candidate will lead/manage a project team made up of managers and supervisors for the creation and maintenance of resource plans and performance metrics to address developing trends and forecasting in the industry. 

Typical responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing, reviewing, and approving design resource plans for planning supervisors and district managers on future additions to planner and designer classifications.
• Providing on-time delivery and ensuring product quality for Central Design and Field Accounting (CD&FA) and Distribution, Construction & Maintenance (DCM) Planning organizations business metrics and resource plans.
• Developing strategies to address the changing needs of CD&FA RPPM design metrics and resource planning.
• Focusing strategies to maximize the value of new system tools by identifying data sources and the value that they may add in the deployment of behaviorally focused new metrics.
• Facilitating and assisting in the resource planning and performance management activities for the Field Accounting Organization (FAO).
• Supporting the Wires Investment Strategy Efficiency Review (WISER) initiatives by aligning, identifying gaps, leveraging, and improving the CD&FA RPPM efforts to ensure that the long-term plans to balance labor demand and supply remain on course.
• Supporting as needed the General Rate Case.
• Providing resource planning for all Power Delivery (PWRD) DCM and CD&FA planning organizations to analyze staffing assessments and determine needs for all CD&FA RPPM clients.
• Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Must have a minimum of five years of experience managing and implementing projects, including identifying, maintaining, and/or adjusting the cost, scope, and resources, and overseeing the formal planning, tracking, and reporting of project performance, as well as some experience managing cross-functional teams.

Requirements/Core Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, a Technical Discipline, or a related degree. 
• Typically possesses five or more years of experience in organizational programs or function being managed plus two or more years of supervisory or program management experience.
